In this chapter (the final one for Episode 1), Monica finally returns to her mansion, but only as a humble serving maid to its new occupants - Mr. Richards, his dominant wife Betty, and her stepson Bardie. Although jubilant at first, Monica quickly discovers that she is from most of the mansion's pleasures, and even has to sIeep down in the basement, in the servant's quarters. Desperate, but defiant, she goes to sIeep and has a nice dream in which she marries Dick the Lawyer and solves all her problems...
